    Subdued NCO Tresse?

Chalk this question up under pure autism, but how prevalent was the use of subdued NCO tresse compared to the standard aluminum type on duty tunics?

The standard aluminum tresse was more prevalent early in the war. The subdued tresse was used later in the war.

Subdued Tresse was more common towards the end of the war. On a M36 or even getting into the M40 tunics, the tresse would have been most likely silver. When you are getting into the M42, M43 and M44 tunics, the tresse would have been subdued.
