Thought on these boards

I was hoping someone would bring these up for discussion. But because of the lack of quick responses, I guess I’m not the only one who finds them “interesting”. I hope someone can step forward with some definitive information.
Though not an expert, here are my thoughts:
The seller states the piping is non-magnetic. I assume he means there are no wire stiffeners running along the edges of the boards. This is unusual, but was occasionally done later in the war.
They are certainly well made and I see no obvious faults in their construction. The seller gives us relatively good photographs, but certain construction details still do not show up in them. It can be very hard to capture some details especially on black items.
The obersturmbannfuhrer boards are not a true pair. They are for the same side. They were indeed worn like this during the war. On my monitor, they look more like veterinary than panzer. From the photographs, I can’t tell if the wear on the tops is consistent with the apparent lack of wear to the bottoms.
The black bottoms on the company grade boards seem a tiny bit too narrow to me. Some original boards are made this way, but on these the piping looks to completely cover the black when viewed from directly above.
The cords on the company grade boards look a little odd, almost like bright tops or cellon. Both were used on original boards, but were unusual. (Weren’t bright tops expressly prohibited?)
Round holes in the tongues were less common than straight slits.
The devices look to have been on the boards for a long time.
