    SS runic collar tab - opinions needed

    Hi guys,
    would you please share your opinions about this collar tab?
    A friend purchased this one recently but for me its not an original tab.
    It is trying to look like a late war ribbed example but it's not what I would like to see.
    Your feedback is well appreciated, thank you in advance

            Its very interessting.
            Please tell me why not.
            I know the originals of this pattern where the runes are closer to each other.
            Is this a 100% giveaway?

              If this tab which started the thread is trying to replicate something similar to a " ribbed rune / late war tab " my observations against it would be that the actual weaving of the runes themselves are incorrect; on my wartime example the weave is in a much tighter form ( making the black dots more prominent between the weaves ) also personally I am not a fan of the amount of material and finish on the reverse of the tab featured in this thread .                 Yes very interesting
                It shows one or two red flags for me too
                As already mentioned the weave and the buckram
                are my concerns. Having said that I would'nt mind it in my
                fake collection regards

                        Fake. When reassembling it, inside is a synthetic underlayer used to reinforce embroidery
