SS Bevo Skull and Eagle, Opinions?

Hello, recently acquired these two pieces. Preformed and black light and burn test, and both proved satisfactory. Although, I would greatly appreciate help from keener eyes. I also have taken a picture of the backs, will upload those immediately following this. Thank you.

And these are the backs. Forgive the not so speedy uploads, new member, as it must be painfully obvious. Thank you for your time.

I don't mean to be a pest, but may I ask what visually set you off as to it being a fake? It it too clean as far as condition goes? Are there sloppy details that I'm missing? Just curious, as I am an up and comer in this collecting game. Once again, any help will be greatly appreciated.

They are both well-known fakes ... the eagle doesn't have correctly defined feet and is known as a 'Bigfoot', actually the name of it's larger but equally fake sleeve eagle cousin. The skull has a mildly embarrassed look about it ... and for good reason. Also the weave is incorrect, it should be a much thinner wire, not this tinsel-like material.

Use "SEARCH" button at top of forum, and look for SS skulls or caps, and read the responses. Eventually, you'll know who the experts are, and after a while, you can spot many fakes just because they just don't "look right". This will help you eliminate the obvious fakes. After looking at a lot of them, YOU'LL become an "Expert", or at least more knowledgable. Everybody starts somewhere. None of us were BORN experts. But I WAS born good-looking!!
