Without a hands-on inspection, it's all a crap-shoot anyway.

I like the tight pleats of the liner, but that high front section and low back area should be looked at. As well as the SB stitching. I do like the overall shape of the cap

That Totenkopf looks strange with the massive line down the head and into the face. Like someone else said I can't see any signs of tamper.

Ss visor

Imo this visor is original ss. The leather sweatband has been resewn, the insignia replaced. It looks like an early one. It is worn, at least the sweat band.

The badges are one-glance originals in the first pic alone, so there shouldn't be any question there. But they have no bearing on the cap itself so it is a moot point anyway. The beautiful brushed doeskin exterior is also one-looker IMO, and matches perfectly with the high-quality interior complete with its ribbed side panels. These things don't happen by accident. And they rarely happen by fakers. And the very obvious repairs to the sweatband look like the very obvious and very honest attempt at a restoration (with no attempt at concealment) to an otherwise desirable cap. The unmarked interior is also pure prewar SS.
