SS General"s Visor? Opinions and Info, Please

    Greetings,

This visor has been the subject of some scrutiny. Some like it, some don't. If any of our more knowledgable collectors have a problem with it, please include a few specifics. I have really only been able to get good/bad opinions on it and want to know a little more before I decide what to do with the thing.

    You input is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Spencer

It's fake. It's a so called 'Latvian' fake.

A good thread on them here, by our own stonemint.

It's a big no no from me too. I believe the SS General's visor caps had a strip of velvet around the front where the Devils head insignia was.

Here's what the Real SS Obergruppenfuhrer/Gruppenfuhrer cap looked like.

It's a totenkopf or 'Deaths Head' literally

Yeah I know what it's called but at the time of writing the post I had forgotten it's official name.

Not a war time production cap.
