I've had this LAH slip on for about 10 years. I've done my homework in the WAF archives and it looks good to me. At least it doesn't seem to match any obvious fakes. But you never know - these seem to easy to fake. Opinions, please.

Interesting critique and not unjustified, I admit.
I would not say it's the dimensions necessarily though. At least potos can be a bit misleading.
I compared this one here with 6 of my slip-ons and a couple more direct-embroidered pieces from my collection and IMO the problem is more that the angles/corners of the letters are not as sharply executed as on all the originals (many different manufacturers) which are really pointed.
Maybe someone can expend on that.
Anyway, in the end, once in hand with a little experience one instantly knows whether good or bad in my experience.
Cheers,
Markus

Thanks for the replies guys. It seems some like it and some don't. I went back through the archives and looked at LAH slip ons until my eyes watered. It seems like there are no two alike. It's frustrating for me as, unlike BEVO runes tabs for example, there doesn't seem to be a "textbook" version.

Not as well executed as I would like to see, I agree with Markus, the detail is not there. I studied these for a long time till I handled and found ones I felt comfortable with. I'd pass and wait till one comes along that looks "right". Study one others have no issues with, you will see that although there can be some slight differences, they are uniformly well executed on the front in my opinion.

Very correct. Good you brought that up. A highly recomendable book, not only on the wrap-uniforms, but also on the insignias worn to it. So good in fact, that in terms of quality/originality of the pieces shown it easily surpasses other works regarding insignia IMO. (Even though I still do not understand why the author has not made mention of the Nachrichten-/Signals-Troops wearing the black Panzer Uniform as well...)
