SS trapezoid?

Hiya.

Is this what I've seen some call a SS Trapezoid? Is it a real one?



It's from a guy who I may be buying some stuff from.

It's well-executed, but I'm pretty sure it's a reproduction. The stitching is the give-away, IMO. Plus, I'm not sure this wool pattern was made for Panzer SS.

I originally wanted to collect SS stuff but decided against due to fakes, but I keep getting drawn...

I'm assuming its the bottom eagle that is fake, what about the other one?

Yes the lower one is 100% fake. The upper one is a Kriegsmarine breast eagle and (although very common) looks to be original. This is often how fake SS items are presented, in amongst groups of original but very common items "but everything else is original so that MUST be" is what you're supposed to think.

I guess KM would be yellow. This is a normal Panzer-Breasteagle.
And original, form what i can see.

The backing certainly looks navy blue to me and not black
Perhaps you can confirm blue or black ?
