SS Belt Buckle For Review

I saw this today, the price was low so I am guessing its a repro, but I just want to make sure.

No, I took one but it didnt turn out well. I believe it was unmarked.

Is it impossible to tell without a picture of the back? I will go back to the store and take a picture next week if need be. So its not an obvious fake judging from the front?

A good photo of front, back and any maker marks should
determine its authenticity or not

Without a photo it is a shot in the dark. You need them to tell anything.

Ok I will go back tomorrow to get a photo of the back, I was assuming if it was a bad fake the front shot would be enough to rule it out, but now I am curious, so I will go get better photos.

The buckle appears to have no marks, and the belt was dated 1942.

There should be a maker mark under the roller. Probably 155/40....
