I never get tired of looking at original flat wire sleeve eagles
                Therefore I have two myself...

                Thanks for sharing

Very nice, and certainly not getting any easier to find. Were these eagles even used that often? I have handled two original tunics, both private purchase, one a panzer wrapper the other field grey 4 pocket, where ithe eagle was first sewn onto a piece of black or green wool, and then applied to the jacket, I think it was done so as to give it more of a distinct look like the regular bullionEagles, that way the are more prominent in appearance.
                      Thanks

Beautiful eagle. I have one on a combat tunic; I don't think they saw as much service as the bullion variety.

I nave one in a 5 button trikot tunic and was war timenperiod. Unfortunately fiber are losting the match against age and under wings there is a strap.
