Has anyone actually seen these being worn ? Given the large influx of former HJ members into the 12th 'Hitlerjugend' you would imagine they would be everywhere in portrait photos ... but they aren't.

Hello,

This badge was, of course, not to be worn by former HJ members (millions !) but by former HJ-Führer (HJ officers). Most of the former HJ-Führer came to the army or even to the Waffen-SS with the statut of Schütze or SS-Schütze (enlisted). It seems that some officials thought it would be normal to displays a past of responsibility.

I never saw a picture with this badge in wear ! perhaps it was never awarded (?)
