I wished I had purchased it when I had the chance.

Hopefully it comes my way again.

Wünsche, do you own the tunic of which you posted a pic and which at one point was sold by Martin Styles? Cheers, W

Even today, when one has a fine suit made to order, it is often utilized - as it has been recognized as the standard of quality since the early times of tailoring . . .

      Thanks for your help.

Scott, I have seen plain white sleeve lining and also material that matched the lining material.

Max I used to own the light weight cotton tunic you posted it is not the same as the Cavalry Regiment officers tunic made from moleskin. I loved the light weight tunic it was one of my favorites.

Very nice jacket "Peterm41"! Looks like an original SS jacket, not an wehrmacht jacket! Nice...

Thanks John, it would make sense that both versions exist, Depending upon what materials were on hand, the quality of the tailoring, and how much the buyer wished to spend on added refinements, just like any tailor today.

Unfortunately I do not own this one.

I had already committed to several other purchases when this one was listed.

                  Apologies, yes you are correct!

I was confused as I recall you mentioning the one on Martin's site use to be in your collection. I see that they are quite different, not least of which is the rank.

It is a fantastic tunic that is for sure.

That seems to be a Reichswehr M 29 private purchased tunic

Could be because it is not early SS with the 6 button front. But may have been retailored for an SS officer.
