and why is that?because its not the EASY wool type? so many GOOD cotton SS armbands are said to be bad here,i wonder if anyone believes any to be real, unless they have a cloth tag.I think the armband shown has a very good chance. It has some typical traits real cotton ones show, reverse stitching being one, white roundel stitching, double top stitching rows for stripe, materials look fine.

To be fair I disliked the swastika and roundel material BUT as you correctly say I personally would only stick to the textbook wool variety as they are what I am accustomed to.

If in doubt I would stick to textbook where SS insignia is concerned.

                SS Armband

Early cotton SS armbands are scarey. It might be totally original, but there are some red flags.

A single piece swas is unusual for party armbands, as is its attachment to the white disc.

The placement of the black stripes is indicative of a party / SA armband upgrade. However, when was it done?

You must pay attention to other factors like source, price, was what came with it real, blacklight...

The stitching for the swastika is odd and common for fakes, as well as the close stitching on the roundel. JMO of course. Of course most would recommend to something standard as then they don't have to prove anything about why it's real.

Looks like an early brown shirt armband. I saw a wool one that I really like that was similar. But had a custom taylor tag. Can anyone confirm the construction of armbands pre RZM?
