I wanted to share my latest find with you (probably the last for this year) not really SS related but still very nice and I thought it's worth showing you guys
A beautiful cigarette case with a huge swastika, for a change an all original item with great patina

Case

The swastika appears to be inset. We're ALWAYS skeptical of Nazi cigarette cases, but this looks legit to me.

I think it looks like it was struck as an integral part of the design , and not added / engraved later .
I like this one - for a change , indeed ..

The insides seem to be repainted ...but I to feel it just may be legit for what it is...likely used post war too for its shock factor....but seems well made, just don't like the inside finish that has been farbed.

the box is interesting, the early SA under Rohm took the word socialism in national socialism literally & they would have been against trusts & konzernes

I agree - the inside appears to have been gilded, and the flexing over the years caused the finish to peel, IMO.

Note that the inside of Prowler88's case has exactly the same goldplating .
Obviously is doesn't hold on Alpacca as well as on silver , hence the " flaking " when dented , on the first item posted ..
