    A salty Normandy vet

A recent purchase that I still have not got in hand.

A Dot pattern Panzer Wrap with that been there look that I love....

Personally, I would MUCH rather have an example like the one in the photo than the "mint, mint, mint" artifact that I suppose most collectors would prefer. That wrapper SAW history!

    Nice find!

Thanks Bill, and yes I have to agree with you there.

I love seeing the mint items too, although the pieces that have that 'been through action' look have that extra intrigue for me.

Cant wait for it to arrive...

            Very nice indeed!

And I have the perfect set of heavily worn trousers to go with them. A very rare spring OL set (Beaver - pages 180-181 - states that there was only one known example that was not autumn OL; this appears to be the second).

I think that it is your wrapper which is the star of the show - congratulations.

I wanted to show the trousers as they reflect the same wear and the owners desire to keep them serviceable as long as possible. Like your wrapper, I am sure that there are many stories they could tell.

                            Thanks for this post!
