I have some SS hat traps.
The top two are still in strip form and you can see that the reverse have the eagle and skulls in green. And, of course, they are marked BEVO-WUPPERTAL.
The bottom left one is in black thread on the skull and eagle and isn't in BEVO, or at least doesn't have that bevo strip around the eagle and skull.
The bottom right one is BEVO but, once again, the skull and eagle are in black thread as opposed to the strip on top that is in green thread. And it is not marked B-WUPPERTAL
The top two in the strip are also completely in green on the front whereas the bottom two are black on the front.
Why are these different? I am sure that I could wish that it was because the black ones are for Panzer headgear but I am wondering if it is simply a case of different manufacturers doing it a different way.
