I agree. It's not because the objects are realistic images of nature, that you can call them Kitch. In my eyes is Kitsch a kind of "art" ,both realistic and surrealistic, that is made in a very poor way with clear lack of craftmanship.

This wouldn't be considered kitch - kitch is defined as both inexpensive and low brow...

You could argue though - that this is 'stuffy' art. The kind of art one collects to show off money and what passes for the 'good taste' of the time...without actually having an interest in fine art for it's own sake...

And now it has become a collector's item in it's own right more because of historical context...
