    Oh
    On second thoughts .......
Who gave Kelly the cover to sign off on ?
There's a scam going on here that is rotting the core of the helmet cover collecting community.
People are getting burned left and right and the makers are laughing.

When I was offered this cap I was given a few weeks to check the originality.
I'm from the Netherlands, so I had to limited time to sent his cap to Kelly Hicks and wait for Kelly Hicks to give his opinion.
Instead I went to a professional photographer and send the high quality photos to Kelly Hicks for his valuation by email.

The strange thing about this cover is, the collector who offered it to me got this cover from a Dutch resistance veteran.

Buy the item not the story.
Why would Kelly write a Coa based on photos ?

              Ok I get it now.
An on line scam that cost you how much ?
              Never seen that before....

My advice to you at this point.
Get your money back and write Kelly informing him that he's doing the hobby wrong and get the money for the Coa back.

There is nothing much left to say on this swindle.

You cannot be 100% sure unless you can find one direct from the vet himself or with some other solid provenance. I am not an "expert", but I am convinced that the perfect fake can, and indeed, has been made. This applies to other items as well, not just covers.
Otherwise, one can only go by the opinions of advanced collectors, but this cannot absolutely guarantee authenticity.
In my opinion, there needs to be a market value correction on items such as these.
