    SS camouflage cover

This cover is in my collection.
It's an original one, and it has an COA from Kelly Hicks.
I don't have written provenance, but the collector who sold it to me got it from a Dutch resistance member who took this cover from a captured SS soldier in Zeeland.
Unfortunately this man died, so I couldn't ask it myself.
I'm thinking about selling it, so what's your opinion on it?

    It's discussed before here:
    http://www.warrelics.eu/forum/steel-...over-391071-1/

I hope the pictures are good quality, because they were made by a professional photographer.
However, I can make more pictures if needed.

That's a tough one for sure because in close-up pictures it looks very believable but let's see what others say

I am sorry, but to me that is not an original item.

                  It's a one looker fake.

                  The Coa means nothing.

Without hesitation I'm with Fritz and Owen on this one, definitely post-war construction from some original components.

Construction made to deceive, beyond the obvious flaws i.e. Rocker Clip pins and stitching, the weathering is an easy give away for a cover of this alleged level of saltiness.

                    Sorry to share these news,

                    Asper

                        Ehm, I can't follow.

On WRF all tell it's a good one.
WAF all tell it's a bad one...

                        What now?

                          What's not to follow.

Bad covers were made and passed through dealers who signed off on them.
This introducing fake crap into the market with coas that are not worth the paper they are written on.
A cover made from used zelt fabric worth $350 suddenly becomes $5000 to $10000 depending who is selling it.

It's an old fabric new made item that there at least 70 out there.

Search the forum for "italian covers", yours is an early variant of these.

                            Cheers
