I like that genuine double needle sewing machine stitching.

This is NOT a double needle seam!

                        FRITZ .............................
You really "protest too much" about the double needle sewing machine stitching.
I bet if we looked at your collection, we would find several items with the double run of a single needle machine.
Look beneath the silver piping for the doulbe needle machine stitching.
                        Thank you,

                          Mike:

With all due respect, I, unlike you, know exactly what a double needle seam has to look like. This isn't one. And this will be the last time for me trying to get this across to you.

It is not only that the stitch lines have to run "parallel", it is also important to know that there, with the exception of damages and the alike, are no "jumps" in the "opposing stitches". In short, the "opposing stitches", such as marked below in green and red, would always need to have the exact same length and would need to be exactly opposing (green) and not almost opposing (red) in a real DNM seam .First photo post 3 shows they are not exactly opposing and thus are not DNM. There are more things to look for but that would make things even more complicate.

                          -Double needle:

                          ---------------------------------------
                          ---------------------------------------

-Double needle "look-alike" (almost parallel single needle seams made by a qualified person), "opposing" stitches (red) are not exactly opposing and can show various lenghts:

                          ---------------------------------------
                          --------------------------------------

The latter is what you are confusing with seams made using a DNM.

I do have items in my collection that were made using a DNM, none of that is a side cap though. Several side caps, however, look like they were made using a DNM - anyhow at first glance.

                          Cheers

It, as far as I am concerned, has never been a discussion.

Both of your examples are single needle made as they should be.

                              Cheers
