SS sleeve eagle on Hermann-historica site

    Hello all,

I saw this eagle on a HH tunic and wanted to ask if this was an authentic pattern? I don't believe I've ever seen anything like it before.

      Hello again,

Thanks for the confirmation. I know they have a fairly good name which is why I questioned it.

The fake ring you see everywhere is one piece with much wider and different angled runes. The ring illustrated here has a separate enamelled top and completely different runes. I believe the posted ring is authentic and only the second example I have seen. Gaspare would know for sure.

                  Bob,

Is Gaspare still active on this forum? I think he used to be but I haven't ventured on the SS forum of late.

This is a well known fantasy fake ring. It comes in different qualities. Here it is one with quick enamel and altered to look used and antique.

Good were the old days, Ian.
Glad that WAF is still here, although many have also left to who knows where.
