              As stated before very nice,textbook original that are seriously undervalued in my opinion.It looks to be unissued. ( typical) It also looks to have a backing material to the insignia. if you have a loop or good magnifying glass look closely at the areas around the stitching lines. Many times you will see a very fine boarder of cotton duck material that served as a backing to make the insignia easier to apply. I once had the opportunity to examine a set of insignia sewn this way to blurred edge camo material from a smock or zeltbahn. sadly these wonderful pieces of history are butchered for their insignia. I still don't understand why these are so undervalued but they remain the most affordable of all SS headgear. Congrats on a very honest/fine example! regards Richard

                I believe undervalued because although SS, not seen as a truly 'Germanic' item. Also not what most people think when they picture an SS man.

                Still a beautiful fez and it looks great with the tab.
