What the hell happened with the mis-embroidery ? I would leave this well alone and wait for a textbook one ... they are commonly available.

I believe it is original and as Ian said the embroidery is a bit of but I do think it is good.

David, yours is a different variation from the one that started the thread.

I also think that, despite the wonky embroidery, it's a good one.

my friend in Norway has some like yours but he say told me when i have visited him the are for Nowegian NS units,a bit differen with late war ss nordland.

David, yours looks more like a GSSN collar tab than the (usually Dachau issued) Nordland sonnenrad?

Here's mine - apologies for bad pic but you see the arms are thicker and this is typical of the GSSN.

I was basing my opinion on the buckrum as well - Looks good to me.

The tab that started the thread is a later war example, like the ones found at Dachau.
David showed a very nice earlier type RZM tab
Again, both are fine originals!
