I am the current owner of this particular cufftitle... Does anyone else have such cufftitle in his collection?
I could not find any reference for it.....Is it that rare?

Medical Related SS Cuff Titles

Nice original cuff title.

Not long ago, I tried to sort out what the various medical related SS cuff titles meant. This is what I found:

IF “Cloth Insignia of the SS” is correct, your cuff title “Sanitats – Abteilung” is for a member of any medical unit attached to any numbered standart. (p 106)

Those attached to a district wore “San. – Abt. Xxx” where “Xxx” is the district (Oberabschnitt) abbreviation. (p 78)

Those attached to a sub district wore “San. – Abt. XX” where “XX” is the Roman numeral of the sub district (Abschnitt). (p 81)

Those attached to an SS – VT unit wore “Sanitatsabteilung” without hyphen. (p 151)

Those attached to an SS – TV also unit wore “Sanitatsabteilung” without hyphen. (p 210)

Mollo’s books seem to agree with this information.
