Opinions on SS insignia
Hello Forum Members, I have this greatcoat with SS insignia on it. I have had it for years. The reason I have held on to it for so long is that I do not have a clue as to whether the insignia is real or not, and even if it is real, you really can not do anything with these greatcoats, in my opinion, becuase the Army used the same type coat and I would not think anyone would trust it as being authentic, or always being together.
But can any one tell if the collar tabs and eagle are good without me taking it off the coat. If so I would really appreciate knowing. I have stayed away from SS material since the early 1990's. I think I bought this in the 1970's.

The eagle is fine ... IMO
But the tabs are up for debate as far as I am concerned.
I don't personally like them too many red flags
