    My WSS tunic restoration project

    Hello guys,
i got this tunic and im on my way to restore it. It might not be obvious from the pictures, but there is a shade of Winkel patch under the eagle so thats why i put this rank tab. ANd there is a ciff title shade as well. Hope to find them soon. I tried with Zig Zag stiching of the eagle and it worked more or less. Still, i like salty tunics and i just wanted an opinion from you so far. Do you like it.

Sorry i do not have a manaquen yet to display it.

    Cheers and thanks for looking.

Hello, could you share a close up photo of the eagle? Sorry but it looks fake to me. Best, JLS

One thing I would say is that looking at where the bottom of the shadow of the wreath falls I believe it probably had a BeVo sleeve eagle ... they look to be deeper than the embroidered RZM type.

Here is the eagle in details
I bought it from a dealer and i thought is ok?
I will defenetly think about BEVO eagle, because im looking for bevo ciff title as well.

                  Cheers and thanks for looking

Then i had better remove it and add BEVO one. at least they are easy to spot fakes or not. But as i said, i took this one from a dealer. Very strange

Bevo is possible but if you want make a real good job you should use nice rzm insignia.
When we spend more and in right manner we always save money.
Tunic is very nice so all must be at same level.
Be carefull about timeline, of course all is possible cause soldiers moved into other division butbut with this tunic collector taste would see an early division.

nice project, but at least i would contact the dealer and show him the FAKE

                            That eagle is hideous ....
Remove it and replace it with a used well known RZM type
There are plenty of them out there
                            Regards
                            David

                              Hello
According to the tunic seller, there was LAH ciff title in the pocket - so i gues the guy was in this devision - i will remove the eagle. I have two RZM eagles but will ask you guys are they ok, before reataching them to the tunic I need nice bevo ciff title as well.
By the way you may see the tunic in her stripped condition in abooutww2militaria site - espenlaub militaria
you may see how bad damaged the lining was.
I think they are forum sponsors as well

                              http://www.aboutww2militaria.com/July2014/tunic3.html

Please note by posting the link to the tunic i bought i make no advertisement of the site - i just want to show how the tunic looked like before coming to me

So now RZM eagle with bevo ciff title will it be OK?

                              Cheers
