Original SS Skull with story or not?

This SS skull arrived this afthernoon. The seller says the skull came from an former employee of the medal factory Steinhauer und Lück. He took it afther his work in 1945.

What do you think? Is it real? The pins looks okay to me!

The material is: Copper with silver finish

Wow, I bought about a dozen of those around ten years ago for $40.00 and made a Christmas tree ornament with them. I used to stick them on baseball caps and all kinds of junk, but you can rest assured that junk is what they are. These were however, used in several WW2 movies that I have seen, (probably because they are so cheap and plentiful).

I have something that looks similar. Can't see in pics but it has a circle with rzm inside on the rear. I've posted pics of it to compare. I'm under the assumption mine is not original

That flat-faced pc of junque skull with the 3 side-prongs you posted is an old fake that used to be sold by Delta International of Lafayette, CA,- it's pictured in their old 1980's catalog as item #129 priced @ $3.30.
