SS Service Award Case

Can I please have some opinions on this case. As you can see, it appears that top of one side of the box has a different grain/material and it looks like the covering in that area is composed of 2-3 separate pieces, identifiable by the seems. Has this been repaired?

From the extremely limited views shown here, it does look like a repaired SS-DA 4 or 8 year box, but you should try posting photos of the whole item on the Cases & Packets forum.
