Too good to be true? SS Overseas Cap

I bought this SS Overseas Cap from a seller online that guaranteed its authenticity. I just either got a really good deal or this is fake. Would anyone be willing to give their opinion on whether it looks good? The stitching on the front covering a portion of the skull looks bad to me, but I have no experience with headgear from wwii. Thanks!
