Guys:

Ive had this photo at least 10 years & last night just noticed this signature in ball point pen on the reverse. I cany make out the other 2 officers but the arrow points to Sepp Dietrich. This signature is very much like his post war autograph but what do you guys think? Definitely an original period printed photo definitely signed postwar (ie: ball point pen) Really interested to hear what you have to say! Rich

The photo is without a doubt original. Can't comment about the signature

People many times tender to change their signature a bit, as they get older.
Hard to say about this one, IMO. Could be good, but also very easily forged.

I agree with all letters, but the "D". The "D" really puzzles me.

If it's original, then I'd say it's one close to his death.

I just obtained a multi-signed card from one of his boys, signed first-hand in the late 1950's and that's still pretty good in shape and shows the normal "D"...

Would I pass on this one if it was offered to me? Yes.

Too odd for my taste.

Once again I have the picture already. It came in a large TK picture grouping. Ive had it about 15 years, just noticed it last week. I have this nagging feeling its original.....

I would keep it! Perhaps it´s more logic to look at a wartime signature, if you are going to forge? If I really (REALLY!) had to choose – good or bad? – I would say good!

The other 2 officers look like Eicke to the left as we look and possibly Hausser to the right (? probably not Hausser though, not tall enough).

Can not really add much to if the sig is original or not but what disturb me a bit is why you would send or bring a photo for signature of a man that is almost not visible at the photo?
There are a lot of much better photos, originals too.
