According to the old Bender Waffen-SS volumes, the 3-leg tab was thought to be worn by the Langemarck infantry regt of Das Reich.

Is this still the case or has more current info come to light?

Mike - I don't think this was worn by the infantry regiment of Das Reich but it was certainly worn by Nordwest regiment and the Langemarck division (Nr27) and there are plenty of photos to show this.
