    SS Pioneer shoulderboards?

Hi guys, I'm trying to find a nice pair of slip on boards for my WSS tunic and I came across these. Are these WSS or Heer? I read through the forum and found one mention of WSS Pioneer boards being thicker, but I'm not clear on these. I also read that sometimes the WSS used Heer boards if no WSS boards were available, any guesses on how often that happened? 25-50% of the time? I'm having trouble finding WSS slipon boards for a Untersturmführer so I'm considering using Heer boards.
    Thanks,
    Eddie

Heer pionier (engineers), but could have been worn by Waffen SS engineers as well like this. They often wore Heer board as you stated...and with black on black nebenfarbe not being very noticable this standard Heer set would do just fine! (and more affordable!)

They would do fine but the missing pips and/or numbers do stand out to me.

Ah, ok, thanks for the clarification. These are being offered as WSS Pioneer not as Heer. Did the WSS wear Heer shoulderboards from other branches? I'm having a tough time finding slip on WSS boards for ranks lower than Sturmbannführer for anything other than transport or the very expensive Panzer waffenfarbe.

Ian: Yeah, I noticed the lack of pips too, not sure why that is and it makes me a bit hesitant too.

Thanks to both of you for the replies!

The WSS wore Heer boards of many (hard to say all) branches as the supply situation dictated. I've seen many original examples of WSS feldblusen with Heer boards. Percentage? Maybe impossible to determine.

Thank you Drempfer, I may consider Heer boards for my project.
