Here is a picture of a very, very worn set of boards. The gilt cypher is integral to the boards - i.e. the prongs do not go through the boards but were constructed as a set. Not a great picture...sorry!

Luck also plays a part when searching for these. I was fortunate enough to buy a single LAH slip on in the carpark of a german show last year for fifty euros If you like cyphers try going for some of the less sexy regiments and trades first as they are cheaper and will teach you what to look for.

-Guy, Sounds like you got lucky on that LAH cypher - any pics?

-Anyone else pics of Off. or NCO. cypher's, or early LAH boards?
                Hi John

Just been through my pictures and I don't have one of the slider, sorry. I only sold it a few weeks ago to a dealer friend. I had to sell
the majority of my cloth to finance work on my house sadly.

                Yours, Guy.

                    Gothic "G" cyphers

Guy, would it be possible to see the backs of those Germania cyphers?

                            LAH Cyphers

Here are three LAH cyphers, at least two of the three are fakes

                              Backs of the cyphers

Backs, there is a well known german dealer who has a number of No.2 cyphers for sale. Look at the round holes that have been drilled into the cypher.
