Wartime SS Officers cap heer upgraded

I was also able to pick up this SS Officers cap; its i believe a genuine one from an upgraded heer cap ( wartime done ), absolutely stunning piece of headgear and affordable at one third of a non upgrade.

Certainly looks believable. I know this was done by WSS Officers and Nco's
on occasion. I had a Heer Infantry officer's that had been upgraded like this
from Ron Kwan years ago in my collection that he had purchased from a
vet as a bring back in the 60's. Nice piece
