SS Officers Runic Tab

This SS Officers Tab is up for grabs over on the Estand.
Its being offered for the same price the new owner paid for it .... It has been reviewed before without little or much response

Would you Gentlemen please be so kind and give your views on this item please.
To be very honest I have never seen a material backing like this one ...
Therefore is this normal and is it an original tab ..... ?

well as the seller let me ad 2 comments - there is just no backing material - something you encounter sometimes - i do not know why. Here are two other examples out of my collection:

1. panzer collar tab
2. panzer officer litzen

The lenght is normal, but the high is a few mm shorter. Maybe it was shortened for a jacket with a small collar.

ok, now I see what you are meaning. Well As I said in the other thread i know litte about that kind of insignia. Nevertheless having it in hands I am convinced it is no modern reproduction.

agree, also on well worn tabs the "fluffy" material can be totally worn off.
