That is what I thought, the lining material is the biggest red flag. The trikot is okay but they always screw up the proportions of the different parts.

Man, luckily I don't need cheating people for a living.....

The post was deleted by a moderator because photos were not upload with the WAF server but with image shack one, then this afternoon I remade the post probably copying the wrong link of the discussion.

It has no sense make the same e stand thread with the same link not working in order to hide the discussion....

I have checked my tunic with the one shown ......
In my opinion the one shown was made by Chen / Pirschen in China.
I even have the same chromed dagger fitting too
Therefore I believe its a fake

Dave I'm with you on this one.

My chen tunic also has the same dagger attachment/lining and tricot.

Quite impressive that when these cost us about £60 including postage they have managed to get at least a heer thumbs up. Good job they over did it with the fading.

Don't get too many knickers in a twist gents as Chen went out if business maybe a year and a half ago but not before a load of these were sold on. As Dave said we bought several between us.

Perhaps using the dagger hanger stamp as initial flag when lookimg for these tunics? Ill post mine
                  regards

                    My Chen tunic for reenacting.
The lining looks darker as I had to turn the flash off due to the chrome and no daylight left here.
                    regards

If you know what to look for they do not come close. This has happened with several different makers and types of post War tunics over the last 40 years. When they are aged they look decent. The more modern copies like this one look good from a distance but if you are familiar with the period fabrics and how clothing was made during the WWII era etc. they do not stand up to comparison with real items.

There are a lot of "untouched" tunics out there now that I know 100% were made using left over wartime fabrics in the 1970s and 80s. They are very hard to detect, much more so than these.

and the medal Spange gives also a huuuge shadow
For me a joke to be an orig ss tunic, the width of the title shadow would be also interesting to know.

This tunic is up for sale as an original tunic ......

                          700 Euros for the tunic
                          250 Euros for the pants

Am I missing something here ..... Both items are from China lets not forget that
Should this not be in the bazaar section and not the uniform table ?
                          Regards

                              i would see:

                              a close up of trikot
a close up of button holes front back
                              a picture of back collar
                              a close up of lining

don't need an extra large pictures as previous but a 1200x800 with good definition.

from my smartphone i can't see texture of trikot and the button holes xo
                              uld be opinable.
                              thank you

Does someone have images of one of these when they were sold on EBAY? When you see those it is obvious.
