      I could not find the threads addressing this jacket. Any help???

        I remember seeing a police stug wrapper with the same eagle and the thought was the eagle should be three feather rather than six.

          Actually last year when Ruptured Duck put this one up for sale, a similar -good- set was offered by Regimentals (with only what appeared to be a fake eagle) for about half the price (!). This set was sold within a few days. Both sets were found in the US I believe.
          Time flies; this actually all occured in the end of 2009.

          Anyway, this mouth drooling image came with it, enjoy!

            These Pol Panz wrappers were always piped like this as far as I know.

            Once in a while the accomponying Pol Panzer side cap comes for sale as well....but these lack the interest of most collectors as it seems since despite being very rare they never move fast.
            I certainly can't offer much comment. Is strange that this wrap as well as most if not all the other Police wraps have bad eagles. Anyway thanks for the information. I certainly thought such a rare item would draw a few more comments or at least a lot of oohs and aahs.

              I wonder if the Police wraps around were initially discovered without insignia, and were re-badged with what was available...

                I do not think that is very strange Jim. Please bear in mind that these wrappers are among the most rare out there, hence:

                1. Most originals encountered - like their SS counterparts f.e.- are found (partially) stripped but most of the times are at least missing the sleeve eagle;
                2. As most of the other insignia are standard Schupo and relatively easy to encounter the special Pol Panzer sleeve eagle (for EM/NCO or officer) are hardly ever offered for sale;
                3. Of course, most Pol Panzer wrappers offered for sale are fake;
                4. Subsequently, those that are found - most of the time hardly worn or unissued- are approached with a lot of scepticism;
                5. IMO, most collectors are not aware of the existence of these wraps (simply judge the reactions in most threads), caused also by little attention given in the known publications, but also because IMO Police combat troops have gained little enthusiasm in the general collecting area. There is a huge Polizei knowledge gap. Even Feldgendarmerie is still often mixed-up with Polizei.

                F.

                PS As a side note and a neat feature, but I believe the shoulder boards worn by the NCO in post #19 are custom made, certainly not standard Schupo.

                  This is, by the way, the only one I like with the lack of details I was talking about so it needs a very close inspection to be sure is an original garment.

                    this is the stamp f349 of my SS m43 tunic.
                    F349 is a wellknown SS tunic producer and also if blurred the font are the same.
