It's for SS/SA leadership school. Often seen on early SS brown shirts and the black tunics. SA also.

Can't really say. Would have to have it in hand. At this point though, I'm not fond of it. I have seen that type of white thread used on a lot of reproduction SS insignia.

Here's one from Angolia's Cloth Insignia of the SS, 2nd Edition, 1989, Page 120. Notice the difference in construction and cloth material.

It could be considered one yes...an interesting item to have in an SS collection. Correct me if I am wrong but I think some had black edge rather than brown for SS.

Black edge was for black service tunics while brown was for the brown shirts. Do you have any measurements per chance?
