SS Sports Shirt Variation

Hi Guys, I picked up this sports shirt a few weeks back. It a variation of the 2nd vaiation. I have been talking with Rob Newbrough who wrote the books Sports and the Third Reich. It seems he has a pic of this type of patch next to a standard 2nd variation in his book. Just thought you might all like to see it. Its a neat one for sure.

Here is a pic of the 2nd variation (Left) and the one I have a pic of here on the (right). You can clearly see the runes are thinner on the right side compared to the one on the left. Thanks to Rob Newbrough for letting me use this picture from his book.
Anyone interested in Sports stuff really need to get his books they are fantastic.

Ive studied the photo and think they are wearing the same shirts in the photo,just one guy is a bit father back and the emblem not as sharp on the guy on right.But neither match either of your examples!Maybe the ones in the photo are a 3rd kind?Look at the distance between the runes and the sharp angles on the 2nd variation proper,they match neither in the photo,they have very little space between them and the middle of therunes have a severely sharp angle as well as a thicker black circle..And the photo examples dont totally look like your other variation either,they are not as thin,the ones in the photo appear as they were a middle ground between your 2 originals! more exist!Maybe these are the printed type?

Ok the textbook style proper I see on the guy on the left.The others seem to yet have ANOTHER version on! Look how much space there is above the top and below of the runes,what I mean is from the runes too the circle,there is much more room on the ones worn by the guys on the right than in ANY of the other examples!This is a super topic.Your stitched one seems to be the most elusive,and probably the rarest.

I think the photograph in post #10 is possibly misleading. Very often the balance between black and white can expand or contract based on the exposure, especially if pictures are copies of copies. Looking at the shade on the man on the left and the bright sun on the other men. I believe that we are just seeing the same badge under extremely different lighting situations. This happens a lot with photographs of SS runic helmet decals.

I doubt that,the guy on extreme left is different than the other mens,even in lighting the shapes of teh runes are different.
