Yes, I notice some very nice things For Sale and nobody is buying. Chilly Market, SS Insignia prices are declining across the Board.

hard times... but for me, this "stop" is good. Cause in the last years i almost forget how rare items i put in my collection... so in these days i'm enjoing with my stuffs.

The only worst thing... are the forums... few threads!

Those items I am seeking are rarely offered. I suppose I will buy when offered those pieces.

The good news, about a poor economy, is that some nice items may become available.

                SS for sale

I just returned from a major Midwest show sponsored by the OVMS. I came prepared to buy. Nothing worthwhile was being offered. Just the same stuff that's been sitting around for years. There is nothing wrong or depressed in the market IMO. The good deals were made and gone before the show opened to the public. Business as usual!

From what I have seen lately on the helmet side, there are a lot of generic items on the e-stand that are not very desirable, and when something good comes up, they seller wants way too much. There is too big of a gap between realistic prices and what people are asking for, for nice stuff. Ask realistic prices and I'd be inclined to buy your goods.

A general rule: If you can't sell your item, raise the price!!

yes, of course... quite all my collection followed this rule.

But "second" market it's often made by trade, selling and so on... i think the real thermometer is the "mass market"

But aren't reduced prices good to encourage new collectors into the arena? Let's see them drop so we all benefit, not necessarily financially.

I think too many collectors over price their own collections to their own disappointment and realisation when they actually sell.

                          SS items

Anyone concerned about selling their rare SS collectables should contact me. I can help under these depressed conditions. I await your PM's.
                          Not to worry.
