    Helmet covers ..........good and bad

so do either of you have an opinion on this one? Thanks

The material is of course real and it sure looks like the construction is as well, but like some other things, just not sure. Like CWP, I would never be comfortable in spending anything for one of these unless it came with rock solid provenance ( and if I was rich of course)
BTW, the difference in the spring cover is not fading, but differing shades of material. Original covers were crudely made from various scraps of material and no thought was given to matching anything.

Thanks for your opinion. Again, I am no authority so please feel free to correct me, but it seems to me that the early helmet covers are all made very well, with matching camo and not only that ,but the camo running in the correct directions when it was cut out and attempts made to match up the patterns as much as possible.
As the war wore on it seems the standards were relaxed and scraps used more and more to utilize materials as much as possible.
        Thanks, Michael

As far as I know, yes, the earliest covers, like everything else, tended to be better made than the later stuff, but even those show variations in print quality and shade as well.
