    Shoulderboard Oberst-Gruppenführer Waffen-SS.

    Hello!

    Found this shoulderboard for sale.
As this high-end insignia is very rare there would probably be less chance that such one is original......(!)

Would it be possible to get your opinions on this one...?

    Best regards,

    Bock.

It's hard to say if the board is good or bad, because it's
no big deal to change from an regular Heer General Offcier
tab the red pad to a gray one.

The only red flag is the rough gray cloth, the rest is nice.
Pipes are for the SS tab.
        Compare it with this one...

        Cheers,

          Shoulder Strap

First, what is the provenance for this tab? The shoulder strap you have posted would be for an Oberst-Gruppenfuhrer, if it is being marketed as SS; so that narrows it down quite a bit.

Hauser and Dietrich's boards would have been as shown in this example from the Marshalls Baton: http://www.themarshalsbaton.com/Framepage.htm (Go to Waffen-SS Generals' Insignia link).

I assume Franz Xavier Schwartz's would have been the same as the aforementioned individuals since he was in the Allegemine-SS.

All links are to the Marshalls Baton courtesy of Rene Chavez.

I find the lack of ageing on your strap, as compared to the straps shown on the Marshall's Baton site, to be concerning, not only for SS but Heer as well.

            Have no provenance, sorry...!
Was told that this one came out of an old collection in the seventies together with papers and a pair og Gruppenführer-tabs.
All should have belonged to Oberst-Gruppenführer Paul "PAPA" Hausser.
