It's also amusing to see that ll the items were supposedly tailored
by 'Holters' in Berlin as a premier tailoring company, whilst I personally
consider Fritz Witt one of the worst dressers in the Waffen-SS. At best
    average quality tunics, etc.

Again a sign that every item in the group needed to be minty and
superlative to sell at top Euro!

Rob, if it's o.k. to ask, what are/were the price tags on these items?
I see named SS coats to 'nobodys' on Winkler's site at EUR 12, if I'm
not mistaking. What is he asking for a Brigadefuehrer tunic then?

    Cheers,
    Markus

I meant to do this thread before, however, I am traveling between the hospital now. When I heard that he went on with trying to rip other collectors of, I decided to take some time to post these.

If you would inspect the part where the inscription is added, you will notice that there is no patina.
This will only be visible in direct sunlight (at least to me)
The inscription is very convincing IMHO.
It looks a little bright in these pics, but it really looks good.
I agree with you on this Rob! the writting looks to new, and I have seen some people that restore and repaint lids for reenactors and have the same effect, definitely dont like that liner and the liner coord either

any photos of the whole helmet? and declas, looks like it might be a DD M35..., is this correct?

something that that I see by the photos is that the insignia in all the tunics its just the same, same wear.........

like if they ordered a lot of the same and added it to different garments......

                  There is much more.
Silverware, books, medals, boots, you name it, he has it.

If you ask him nice, you can even order an item from Witt, he sure can make items.

I was thinking the same thing, this fellow probably invested some $$ in having all of these things made ........

the worst part is that he just might end up making the deal....

                          Hilarious!!

And no doubt it will sell, no doubt - otherwise he wouldn´t make it.

that is really the worst part........

that the crook will get away with it.....and some poor fool wil believ he just got the real deal....

                              Rob,

At the start of this wonderful thread you mentioned that the son was in on the deal as well..!

                              Can you explain further?

How does this look in practise?

Does each item come with its respective CoA/ statement, signed by the son?

Do you have a copy you can share for us to back up your statement.

I think it would do the collecting community good to learn how something like this
                              actually looks.

                              Thanks again for the eye-opener!

                              Markus

It would be inte resting to see if the tuxedo badge on the Witt tuxedo is one of the fakes.
