    RFSS Diamond

Hi Guys, whats your thoughts on this diamond?
Same crooked neck as pictured in Angolia's Cloth Insignia of the SS.
Backing is different, but how many are there that are out there to compare?
    Has unterlagen, just no idea
    Thanks for any help.
    Regards,
    Gary

          Raute

My main concern is the thread high lighting the details of the wings appears to have been bullion at one time and is now just bare. The details of the picture from Angolia’s Cloth Insignia of the SS, 2nd Edition, 1989, Page 273, show black separation for these highlights. I increased the image magnification of both your raut and the image provided from Angolia’s book to 400%. Either this high light effect in Angolia's book is the base cloth backing or black thread.

That said, it would be better to do a side by side comparison of an original Presse und Kreigswirtschaft raut. Perhaps a forum member has an original to compare with.

Are any of the raute with the line of visible stitching around the edge original? I don't think so...
