      Robin,

Is that the photo from a past issue 'Siegrunen' magazine? The photo looks familiar.

I've never seen it in 'Siegrunen' but I have seen it in the Italian book on the Italian SS Division. It's quite a well-known picture. The officer concerned was a nobleman, Graf Pio Filippani Ronconi, who served with the 1st Sturmbrigade of the Italian SS Legion and later was adjutant to the divisional commander.

                Yes. It's a sahariana tunic.

The link you posted shows the German version of the Sahariana tunic. The Italian SS Officer I posted is wearing the original Italian version. There were several variants, but all were characterised by the distinctive 'yoke'.

                      Ok Robin,

I'm really interested in identification of this tunics.
Here you can see an Italian version of Sahariana tunic.
Or maybe I mistaken? And is it an Genman version for Italian fascist?

                        That's an Italian one.
They came in different colours, with and without collars.

I see what you mean, but it must just be the net. The original print is crystal clear.

The arrow with the circle device is a metallic pin which is an Italian insignia. I have seen this photo and it is original. The Italians wore a large array of insignia combinations that are largely unexplained, on the SS legionaires' uniforms. I asked Rudy D'Angelo about that particular insignia and he did not understand it's wear, other than that insignia is metallic, and of Italian origin. Little record is available of the Italian SS and every Italian SS volunteer appears to have different variations and combinations of insignia.
