Waffen-SS Oak 4 Pocket

Hi all, I have been looking for an authentic 4 Pocket oak tunic for a while, and one that is reasonably priced. I dont think that 10 grand is a reasonable price for one. I think 1500-2000 is much more sane, I could be wrong. But I have been offered this jacket and I just wanted to ask for other opinons, the RB number stamp has me wondering.

Hello,

First off an opinion on prices. Oakleaf 4-pocket tunics are far from common and would command a premium well above a standard dot 44 HBT 4-pocket or even a dot 44 brushed cotton 4-pocket. Figure at least 3000 USD for a basic 4-pocket oakleaf (no eagle or board loops; OK condition).

Second - although the images are not particularly clear, there is nothing about the tunic that you have illustrated that gives me a good feeling...particularly the price.

My opinion is that this tunic is not legitimate, the pattern is printed on hbt material which would make it quite rare / the rbn is suspect and a price under $5000.00 WOULD BE UNHEARD OF.

If this is being sold by Ralf Haas, I urgently recommend you do your homework on the dealer first, and then seriously think about whether you are prepared to invest in anything he has on offer.

I don't like the lining and RBN stamp. I have seen Oak Leaf tunics and smocks made of HBT, so that could be possible. This tunic though looks repro to me.

Yeah, the price is way too cheap, but the material looks nice, the RB stamp is crap. It looks like a very good SM Wholesale repro... Worth 200 tops. I just wanted to see everyones opinion. Thanks! So I searched Ralf Haas, and I got all the info that I need. Thanks forum members.
