i am sure that this one is not original but it came with many original badges (all 100% original) from an old collection ...
please confirm my opinion

This is the contentious 3 pronged skull, many are found on the Alteste fake caps alongside original late-war 3 pin zinc Assmann eagles.

I am convinced neither way now, however the application of the finish matches the 'Ges Gesch' Assmann skull and there may be a period photo which demonstrates this piece in use.

My thoughts are it had better be cheap

I paid $50 when I bought mine a couple of years ago, but at that point the general opinion were that these were fakes ... I wouldn't disagree with your valuation.
