The tab looks like a velvet made. It's probably a private purchased ? The cord looks like twisted from SS Nco' s cord, just a black cord removed

I have seen gabardine used for tabs its the piping thats odd to me but it is mounted well this is a confusing tab.

imo a good one with new attached piping....

upgraded..taylor made in the time ...or someone put a new pipe on it after the war....
