Bill is interested in selling the plate. Could someone give me a notion of the possible value? I completely agree with the opinions given that the plate is original TR and the paint scheme was added later in the 60's or 70's. I believe it was added as to make this a commemorative item for a vets reunion or something like that. Under magnification, it is clear that this was handpainted and that the paint is of very high quality. Someone put some love into creating this image...what I am saying is that it isn't a cheap Chinese sticker applied to the front of the plate. As such, I would think that such an item would have some value.

This would be one of those rare cases where the painted embellished example is probably worth more than the original untouched example and they can sell as knock offs from 75.00-150.00. Plate is not exactly ruined either and the paint can come off without damaging the plate itself.
