The skull has been in at least 1 other location (possibly 2) ... see where the edge has left an impression at 5 o'clock.

This one would have me running, too much inconsistency between the lining and the top and the long liner stitches aren't what I would expect to see, I'm sure the cap guys will have a field day ripping this one up.

The liner and visor have seen some heavy use, but the cap exterior is in great shape. Also the sweatband stitch looks new to me as opposed to the liner thread.

Not the usual centre band material, marks on the back on the sweatband that don't match up with anything inside the hat (button prongs etc), same colour and weight sewing thread holding the sweatband and the side lining....

Not for me but I would like to see close photos of the leather stitching anyway please.

Which part don't you want to understand ?

Parts of the cap are extremely worn while others appear like new ... inconsistant wear. Also the construction stitching is (to me as a cap novice) messed with.

The cap experts will know exactly what parts of this cap are from which manufacturer and to which cap the other parts belonged.

This one would have me running,
I believe this cap is a Frankenstein amalgamation of several cap components.

                  Simple enough ?

When I saw the outside I thought fake, when I saw the inside I thought that is pretty good, but the two together, I will go with Ian. Some major transplant happened here. Just a question to the owner, where did you get all your color piped ss visors from? Jacques
